No water coming from HOT water TAP

Everything was fine, came home from visting family and the hot tap ran dry, but cold tap ok

we have a gloworm 18hxi condensing boiler, two header tanks 1 for the CH and a larger one, plus an emersion heater tank any ideas?

I would check the tank supplying your HW cylinder.
 
You would get a better idea if you see if the larger loft cistern is full of water.

If so you may have an air lock. Then see FAQ section.

If not then waggle your ball up and down and see if water comes out.

Tell me the result.

the header tank is full of water, stop cock is ok, cant seem to find the FAQ about the air lock

The "header tank" is the one that provides water for the central heating.

Do you really mean the cold water cistern? That will be the larger one?

If the cistern is full then either you have a blockage or an airlock.

Look at the "locked" postings at the top of the forum list and there should be instructions to try to clear ab air lock. Basically you have to try to force mains water up a hot tap to try to clear the air.

Having forced water up the hot tap, its sorted the problem, Many thanks to those who have helped a big thank you! :D
