Can any one help please?...... I have a varilight master and slave dimmer to control the light in my living room that switches on/off from either end. Inside the original switches there are only red wires. In one switch there is one wire going to each, Comm, l1 & L2, L1 is live when the ceiling light is off, Comm & L2 both become live when the ceiling light is on. In the other switch there are two wires coming from the Comm terminal, and one wire from each other L1 & L2, in this switch Comm and L2 are live when the ceiling light is off, L1 only becomes live when the ceiling light is switched on. Can anyone please advise me which wires connect to which terminals in the Varilight dimmers. These terminals are marked with Live, s and a wavy line with an arrow through it. I\\\'ve read the instructions but they don\\\'t make a lot of sense to me. Thanks in advance.....

The wiring diagram here shows the switchwire to the light connected to the ~ terminal in the master, the S in the master connected to the S in the slave and the live feed connected to the live terminal in both the master & slave.

You may need a meter to establish which cable is which if there not marked.

Thanks for the info, it's the same wiring diagram that came with the units which means nothing to me, I just wondered if anyone could tell me from my discription what wires to put where.

Thanks

I just told you which wires to put where, my problem is from your description I don't know which of your existing wires is which.

If you can post a picture of your existing connection that would help
