Noisy Hotpoint Fridge Freezer

I have had a Hotpoint RFA60P fridge freezer for around 12 months. From day one when the compressor kicks in, it is fairly noisy, and after a couple of minutes there is an audible groaning noise. The groaning stops when the compressor shuts down. The instruction manual states it may be noisy for the first month or so, but should then quieten down. This has not happened.

Any ideas to stop the groaning, and reduce compressor noise ?
