Sub-surface for parquet
Reply with quote Thanks

Hi All,

We have uncovered parquet flooring in our hallway, under a carpet icon_biggrin.gif ! Thing is, there is a section (3-4 sqm) which was concrete floor layed to the level of the Top of the parquet, in order to lay a carpet on top.

We have chiselled up that conrete, and got a builder to screed to the level of the bottom of the parquet. However, the screed is not very level - some slight mounds and troughs.

Should we latex on top, or is there a better surface which parquet prefers?

Latex is fine. Make syre it's dry enough before you install the parquet
