Maytag WU1000 - Humming w/No Water/Spin

The old Maytag was working fine yesterday. This evening when loading noticed about 2cm of water in the bottom. Thought it strange, but loaded dishes as usual. During the Wash cycle the water is not coming on and there is humming only. Hate to put the Old Girl down. Thanks in advance.

Check your water filters and that the water is still turned on the humming can come form the water valve when the water is not passing through and the noise could also be coming form the motor, if it is the filters just pull them out and clean with an old tooth brush put back in and "voila".
If it isn't the filters then chances are it's the valves or the inlet diaphragm which you will probably need to call an Engineer to check.
