Anyone know what this could be:

Dishwasher is fitted and probably 4 years old. Has worked great for 3 years.

Recently it has been stopping 70% of way through program - not a great issue as I just clicked the timer 1 click round and then the cycle completed perfectly.

However after a few weeks of this, it is now stopping after 10%, 30%. 50% and 70% of program, and also it requires several clicks turn of the timer to get anything to happen. This means of course it is missing/ refusing to do large parts of the wash program. So at the end of the program the plates are not clean.

Good points: Water is being expelled ok as there is none left in the machine at the emd of the program. The filters are clean

Bad points: There is no heating going on.

Any ideas? seems you need to be einstein these days to keep the house going...

Actually know a lot about dishwashers. However, there are too many variables to answer your query with the limited information given.
It could be a fault on the heating circuit, thermostat open circuit, safety stat tripped, faulty programmer, broken wire or a host of other faults.
You'll have to do some basic fault finding to narrow down the problem and trace the fault.
