Vokera 28 Hissing Noise

Hi

For the last six months, every time I draw hot water from the boiler (Vokera 28) installed Jan 05, I get a loud hissing noise for the duration that the taps are on. It's starting to drive me mad.

Does anyone have any ideas/solutions, they would be much appreciated.

What boiler is it Linea, Compact or Option?

Turn the boiler off and run the hot water - does it still hiss? ie does it sound like the waters boiling in the boiler.

It's a Compact.

Have turned boiler off as you said and run the hot water and it sounds like a kettle starting to boil with not a lot of water in it, if that makes sense. It doesn't seem to happen when running the tap from the kitchen though!

Isolating valve on the cold inlet supply partially closed. When very nearly shut they can generate a lot of noise. Look for valve with screwdriver slot and turn slot to be in-line with valve.
