i have polystyrene tiles on my ceiling they have been put up with artex i think, do u have any tips on how to get them off?

It might just be globs of the adhesive, they are normally little circles of glue.
Get a wide heavy duty scraper, and prise under the tile, and they should come off quite easy.

For the glue bits left behind, either scrape off with the scraper, or get a steamer/stripper, and the heat from the steamer will defintely get the glue off.
