HELP. POWER SHOWER WONT CLOSE

I HAVE A POWER SHOWER IN MY HOUSE HOWEVER THE SHOWER WILL NOT CLOSE THE WATER STILL RUNS EVEN IF I TURN THE STOP KNOB. THIS IS A TRITON POWER SHOWER. WHAT I HAVE DONE IS CLOSE THE MAIN PIPES TO THE SHOWER. BUYING A NEW POWER SHOWER IS EXPENSIVE. CAN SOME ONE HELP DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM.

HOW EASY WOULD IT BE TO CHANGE IT TO AN ELECTRIC SHOWER

PLEASE HELP A DESPERATE LADY.

It may well be the solenoid but if you call the manufacturers then they will be able to advise you further. I would be really surprised if the repair will be expensive.

It would not be a good idea to fit an electric shower as you would need to:-

1) Upgrade the power supply
2) Remove or cap off your hot supply pipe
3) Alter the cold feed so that it is mains fed

And in any event you would be very, very disappointed with the result, especially in the winter.

If the shower is not economic to repair it would still be a much better option to replace with a new power shower - they are far superior to instantaneous electric ones.
