That is exactly what you said to start off with but just in a new format.

Are you asking a question or just pointing out the idiosyncrasies of that particular combination boiler.

NO the flow is fine from hot tap fan starts , pump runs , ignites , then goes out after 20 secs then reignites i will get the book on it and sort it out.

Bob you gotta pay more attention! The bit of the dhwhe which blocks is the primary side - boiler water, so it doesn't affect the tap water flow.
Would be normal to check sensors and GV modulation/pressure.

There seems to be some antagonism here and I don't know why.

gas valve mod starts at 6 mbar goes up to 12 mbar so gas valve seems ok.

It would do. VERY hot. Then the boiler notices it's too hot so has to turn off. Classic blocked primary behaviour. If the primary/ch sensor is the first to go too hot, it can turn the gas off instead of modulating.
Not familiar with Rheat on this aspect but that's common.
Is it a white star or a little star? Can't find any info on a white star..?

Edit - missed your post about the modulating. Is 6mbar correct?? checked the HW sensor ? Pump (and don't just say "yes its running!!)?

ChrisR, White Star and Silver Star are B&Q versions of Little Star. Only difference is in the casing. Inside they're all cheap and nasty. I should know, I bought one - twice!
