Will granite tiles be slippery?

I'm thinking of laying granite floor tiles in my kitchen and the conservatory that ajoins it.

Black Granite looks really good, but I'm a little concerned that it might be slippery.

Can someone that has laid granite floor tiles please comment on how safe they are for kitchen use?

w_b. I would strongly advise against having these tiles in your kitchen if they are of the glazed/polished finish. All tiles are a hazard when they are wet or have something spilt on them, but if you are asking about the perfectly flat neat fitting tile, and you have children, I would look for something different. We had them in one of our kitchens and it was nearly impossible to see when anything was spilt on them.
