Maytag unbalanced tub

Besides an unbalanced load, what can cause the tub of a 2-4 year old Maytag washer go haywire in the spin cycle? Even with one pair of jeans and one bath towel it clunks all over and makes terrible noise. The tub springs were changed and it still does it.
