Hi converting an early 1900.s property, currently fitting a new bathroom suite but the original clay soil pipe need to be moved so i,m changing to plastics.
Point being its a downstairs bathroom and the toilet waste goes straight into the inspection chamber, is this normal and can i just do the same with new plastic pipe or does a vent pipe need to be fitted? If so why ,as its worked this way for 90 odd years!
