water pressure

fitted an outside tap for my mum one of those self cutting kits, attatched to cold water pipe of kitchen sink, but pressure is weak.valve on pipe makes thumping noise when being turned on untill kitchen tap is ran , traced problem to valve on pipe but clamp is tight valve is screwd right in and there are no leaks can anyone help??? icon_question.gif

Have you seen the bore hole of those self cutters?

Best to do the job properly with a compression tee or soldered one. icon_biggrin.gif

Even when they work at first they usually stop when the rubber washer goes spongey ater 3-5 years.

The noises are probably the double check valve.
