Last year i put up a some shelves in my rented accomodation using plasterboard cavity fixings i.e. little devices that you tap into the wall and when you put the screw in, they 'open out' inside the wall.

I wondered if anyone could tell me how to remove them with the least amount of damage, so i don't lose any of my deposit??!!!

since they have expande (as they do) you cant get them out, why not paint over theem or leave a new shelf?

Either leave the shelf, or tap them in just below the surface and fill over.

ok, fair enough, thought there probably wasn't a way to remove them...

thanks for the advice guys ;0)

take a large metal drill bit and drill. itll break the outside from the inside and they can just be pushed in. but they will need a small bit of plaster over em
