Shower grout

Hello, excuse my ignorance but this is our first property. After just a couple of weeks, the waterproof grouting in our shower is showing major discolouration (going black?!) and some of it appears to be shrivelling away. So, two questions:

1. Why could this be happening?

and

2. What should we do?

sounds very scary- u need to sort this out.

mmm u need to regrout if u can- if u say its shrinking and gaps r reforming as the wall behind will get wetter

use ardex flex-fs as ur grout its v good n does the trick

this is a classic substrate prob , take tiles off an underneath will be plaster board ...FACT
you need to take this off an put up tile backer board an a proper shower tanking system ,
