Cast iron bath plumbing?

Hi, I am trying to change plug hole and waste hole on a cast iron bath. The plug hole hasn't got a screw to undo it like on modern ones and underneath does not have a plastic trap either. It looks like a round disk has been stuck to the waste with some kind of metal waste pipe running from it. Can I change the plug and overflow outlets without disturbing the waste pipe?
