Hi,
I'm looking at relocating the sockets of the mains ring in the kitchen of a small apartment.
I don't intend going going as far back as the CU. How does the Part P legislation affect this job? Does it apply in Scotland too? Could I do the work and get it inspected?
Cheers,

Thanks for the reply,
I did do a bit more searching after I posted the question and found a link to the SBSA. search ("building regulations scotland")
Unfortunately for me, doing this in most rooms is "non-notifiable" but for kitchens the rules are more strict. So it may well need prior permission from Building Standards and inspecting & testing afterwards. Which all costs money.
I also found it interesting that Flats, 2 storey houses and 3+ storey houses have different criteria! I love red tape! Keeps the council tax up!
If only everything could be simple for a change.......
Off to see building standards this week to see what they think...
Thanks,
