Plaster cornice

Hi

Having just moved into a old house.. it looks like the coving in the bathroom is of plasterboard type?? does that make sense? but the previous owners have painted over it with oil based paint consequently its peeling really bad, i imagine i have to take it back to the bare and prime it....any advice pls?

Your not lady luck today then are you..im unlucky too I had a wooden rocking horse as a kid and it died of woodworm!

Hmm...lady you might be better off taking it down and replacing it...by the time you have scraped all the offending paint off the surface could end up looking like the moon.

Plus the time aspect too.
