I am about to install upvc french doors and two seperate (but attached to the doors) windows. I am aware of the fixings for the brickwork but what, if any ,fixings do you use between the door frame and the window frames or do you just silicone them? |

I always use a good quality hardened wood screw or self driller/tapper to fix two frames together. TIP. put the screws through the window frame into the door frame reinforcing you get a stronger fix and the fixings cant be seen in the door frame ( unless you used too big a screw ) |

use silicone sealant as well as screws.
it will prevent the "reed" effect on windy days. |
