Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 Stuck on rinse/does not spin

Any help appreciated.

Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 model WM63N approx. 6 years old. Appears to be stuck on rinse and does not move onto spin on any programme. Top cover removed and belt okay. Agitation during wash works okay although brushes may be worn (some electrical arcing). Pump working okay during rinse/good flow of old water through waste pipe.

symptom of worn brushes on this machine pretty sure replacement brushes will cure this problem

Thanks. Will purchase a new set of brushes (already noted previous comments re. use of correct/laminated) get them fitted and report back. Much appreciated.

Hi Tockworth, update as of this morning. New (laminated) brushes received and installed. Very simple job and machine now back serviceable and spin working 100%. In fact, my Domestic Executive reports that the motor's not spinned that fast in several years.....really appreciate your guidance. Best Regards, dh121trident
