Is there a standard height for a wash basin?

Wall-mounted. I've searched the web and found lots on bathrooms for disabled people but none for able bodied, or "temporarily able" as the PC brigade calls us.

Typically 850mm or so, but it's always a compromise between the needs of users of different heights. If the users are all adults then 900mm might be better. It's your choice.

The recommended height is between 770 and 820mm, the average height of a pedistal.
