Hello folks,

I have inherited a Ravenheat 820 combi boiler with no room thermostat wired to it. I just bought a Drayton Digistat RF3 (which cost me a small fortune!) and can't work out where to wire it into the boiler.

I have an electrician friend who will help but I need to get the wiring diagrams.

Has anyone wired one of these in already? On other Ravenheat boiler diagrams I have seen on their website, it shows a connecter for a room thermostat. I don't know if i'm being a dohnut but I can't see this on the circuit board for my boiler!

Can anyone help please. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks very much. :D

Remove the link between C and D and connect volt free contacts:

Thanks very much. That looks like the circuit I was seeing yesterday!!!!!

Cheers. I take it the 'Volt free contacts' are the switch bits on the thermostat? Does it matter which way round they go?

Thanks for your help. This site is magic.

Cheers again.
:D

Yes the RF3 base has a relay in it which provides the VFC's. Doesn;t matter which way round the 2 connections go cos they aren't connected to anything else.
LIke most things, easy when the penny drops!

Cheers again.

Can't thank you enough. Now I don't need to hassle my mate or stump up the cash for an electrician!

I will use this site for all DIY stuff in future. !!!!!!!!
