Oil Boiler on Concrete

We are looking to change our Oil Fired boiler
The present one is Fitted to a concrete Base about 2 inches high

Why is it on a Concrete Block ?
The floor to the utilty room is already concrete
are you allowed to install the boiler direct on the concrete ?
That way it would fir under the existing work surface

yes you can get rid of raised base. just place it on floor. well, non combustible base.
