Hi

Currently getting an Indirect Megaflo installed with system bolier. Builder recommends that the Megaflo is installed in a custom made 1m x 1m block built shed with tiled roof attached to rear of house. Does anyone know of any issues of having the unit outside the house. Do you think it would cost more to run outside and have the risk of frost damage? Is it better to install inside? Is the unit noisey?

Thanks.
Amer.

1m high? Won't be a very big one.
How about a loft - though it will need attention from time to time.

Hi

Sorry

Its the 300 litre unit that I want to go for so ti will be 1m x 1m x 2.2m high.
Can anyone advise how much heat is released from the unit if it is inside the house. Will it be more expensive / less reliable to use it is in a boiler room outside?

Unvented cylinders like the Megaflo should only be installed by plumbers with the appropriate qualification (ticket). Such a person will be able to advise on an appropriate location.

Plumber has confirmed that best location is a custom built shed 2.5m high x 1.5 m wide by 1m deep connected to the back of the house. Will be built using breeze blocks then rendered externally and insulated internally using foiled insulation board. Will have tiled roof. Bolier will be other side of wall in Kitchen.
Doe you think there is a need to install a frost stat as it is 'outside'
Thanks ARH.
