Moving a washing machine

Hi guys,

I need to move a washing machine about 10 miles up the road to my new house.
I remember when i bought the machine and it was delivered there was a metal bracket which as i remember was to stop the drum from moving and braking?
Well i no longer have this bracket and so i'm wondering how i can move the machine without damaging the drum or anything else?

Is there an easy way of doing it because the place where i bought the machine from won't let me have another bracket

Take the lid off, pack around the drum with blocks of polystyrene.
Transport it upright.
