My Triton T90i shower has just mysteriously started tripping the ELCB at my main fuseboard.
This happens immediately on turning on the shower at full power but oddly does not happen if the power is turned down to Medium.
I've opened the shower and saw some black dust that I suspect is from the motor but all of the wiring seems to be fine.
Any ideas?

does it happen with the shower on LOW?

most showers have a small element and a large element (low=small element, medium=large element and high=both elements) i suspect the small element has developed a fault.

The T90i is a tank-fed integral pumped electric shower designed for installations where the pressure of the mains supply is too low, unreliable or non-existent.

No, I've not seen them before either.

Cheers guys.

You have it plugwash, I was referring to the "Pump". Forgive my ignorance :)
