Hoover New Wave hot rinse

I fixed a fault on my mother's washer last week which turned out to be coins in the pump stopping it from draining. However, she now tells me it's working ok apart from rinsing with hot water, although it fills using cold water. I only removed and refitted the pump so I'm at a loss to work out what's going on. I live two hundred miles away, therefore I won't get to see the machine again for a few weeks.

Any ideas?
