First time i tried central heating in new house. It works ok but the boiler overheat light flashes everytime i turn the heating off, Boiler pressure is ok, radiators get hot. Overheat resets after approx 5 mins. Boiler is Worcester 24i Junior and is less than a year old, hot water works fine.

does the fan continue to run after it switches off
You have not made it clear if this is a combi or heat only boiler with a HW tank.
If its a heat only then it sounds as if the pump is wrongly wired and not providing an over run.
If its a combi then thats an odd fault if its on the heating only and the hot water is really OK.
