Hello,

My TV has stopped working. The make is Sharp, I bought It about

18 months ago. The green LED power indicator on the front of the

unit next to the switch doesnt light up when operated.

Is there a transformer or fuse inside the TV which may need

replacing as there is no power getting to the TV.

Any ideas ?
Craig.

Have you tried plugging the TV into a different socket? If the TV is still dead after having done this, have you checked the fuse in the mains plug? If that is OK and you now know that the mains supply is working and the fuse in the plug is OK then there is a fault with the TV. Unless competent to do so (due to the high voltages concerned - still bale to receive a shock after the unit is switched off depending on TV type) I would recommend you have the set looked at by a proper repair agent.

NEVER open up a CRT (cathode ray tube) (traditional) TV set.

PS. this is not the appliances section.

some LCDs have some pretty nasty hv stuff in em too because of the backlight.
