On checking the expansion tank on my heating pumped system I can see a jelly like substance moving about, understand that this may be bacterial growth? What is the best course of action to take from here.
Also if I drain & refill system does mains feed from bottom to top work well. Are there any drawbacks to this method as opposed to re-filling through the expansion tank.
Any help, thanks in advance

Think you will find its the inhibitor, dig it out before you drain or you will block the pipes.
