My CH system gurgles when it starts up and I have to bleed my radiators in my bathroom and bedroom on a daily basis.

My pump is fine on one speed, but when you turn it to the faster speed my central heating becomes very noisy sounding like a kettle boiling or an repetitive gurgle every 2-3 seconds.

Any ideas what I need to do.

There was a lot of Black sludge in the system, but a plumber put something in my header tank, and the water is clearer now, but I have had this problem for 12 months or more, and have only noticed more when I have had an extension, and moved into my new bedroom.

.........

Give some details about your system, or get someone in.

blocked cold feed to C/Htg or yet another of the millions of incorrectly installed pipework systems .........there`s a few good ones in E.Sussex thank goodness ;)

Well thanks for the help oilman, :( . Suggesting to get someone in, surely goes against what this website was set up for.

I have a conventional gravity fed pumped Y system I think it is called. I have had the boiler replaced with a condensing boiler when I had my new extension as I have had 5 new rads.

It is a open vented system with two pipes, about 25 year old. So fairly straight forward.
