Im installing a towel radiator, I want to fit a thermostatic type valve, is this recommended as the ones Ive seen seem to have regular shut off type valves?

reading the forums i can tell you the following

you must have a bypass valve fitted on your system otherwise if all trvs close the pump can not pump anywhere.

the easiest option would seem to be not to fit a trv on the bathroom rad. (our bathroom rad is the only one with no trv)

so if you have trvs on all other rads, then fitting one on the bathroom rad is not a good idea

We have another radiator with no TRV so thats not an issue, The towel rad has quite a high BTU rating so I want the option to keep the room a bit cooler if need be.
