the water pressure on my kitchen faucet is very low. What could be the cause?

Is the supply to this tap from the main cold water feed to your house? If so then there could be a drop in local pressure.

Try screwing the end off the faucet, you sometimes get a build up of deposits in the filter mesh. If it is a screw end that is. Tap out the deposits clean the screen and replace.
