TRV - Danfoss dimantling help

I've been reading the other thread about sticky pins on TRVs and think I may have the same problem.
However, all the helpful advice to unstick them is frutratinly useless to me since I can't open the darned thing!

Its a Danfoss thingy: white plastic twisty bit with numbers on, black bit at top, black collar at bottom.

I can post a picture, if I can work out how!

Thanks in advance for any clues.

hold the white head and the black collor at the bottom and turn against each other.......it pops off....He says!!

Rotate the lower collar anticlockwise until it clicks - then lift off head.

On even older TRV's there may be a small allen setscrew to remove.
