I have a "Gainsborough Energy 3000" shower, which was installed in the house when I bought it, about 8 years ago, and it has been performing very well up to now.
It still is working, ie supplying hot water, as per normal, but, when using the shower, I can hear a vibration. However, in the bathroom (seperate), there is a tremendous knocking in the pipe work; it sounds like something is going to burst!
My question is, is the problem with the shower, or something in the pipes? Nothing has been changed for a long time. I am tempted to buy a new shower (probably a Mira sport, as it has several pipe and wiring positions), but don't want to find I still have the problem.
I have tried it on the cold setting, but the same thing happens.
Any advice gratefully received.......
