I have to freshen up the front of my mates victorian terrace. The bits i have to paint are the render along the bottom of the house where it meets the pavement (about 18" high) and the moulding that runs along the roof line above the first floor windows, it's one of those square fronted places with the roof hidden behind a wall at the top.
what do you call that stuff, render, moulding, masonry what?
It all looks in very good condition, no flaking, peeling or cracking to speak of just a bit stained and faded in places.
My first thoughts are to give all the areas a good scrub (with what?) and apply a good quality white masonry paint over the old stuff?
Oh, and he also wants the brickwork on the inside of the window recess painted white.
How should I execute these fairly simple tasks? materials/brushes etc?
Also there's the issue of the weather now, temp dropping/rain/drying times?
Any thoughts much appreciated.........cheers N
