I am planning on paining my kitchen wall & ceiling.. i went to B&Q & it just confused me... could not find anyone to ask for assistance, so i though i would try friends in cyberspace..

what paint do i need? should i get one that says kitchen & bathroom paint or can i get a normal matt or silk finish paint?

I do cook everyday, i do have a extrator fan too.....

Please advise... confused...

K&B paint is a lot more hard-wearing for being washed down than ordinary emulsions, and goes on easier than an oil-based eggshell.

Kitchens are prone to greasy dirt particles in the air so this is handy.

Remember to do the ceiling too.

It depends on how much stick its going to get really..I have never used K&B paint apart from for a customer.

I find it like treacle and tricky to apply, it runs and sags very easily.

That said, ive actually used the B&Q one and it isnt bad.

Its actually acrylic eggshell in a posh tin.

If you think youd manage with a ordinary matt or silk, giving it the occasional wipe over then use that
