okay, listen to this doozy...

Somebody mistook a bottle of Dawn dishwashing liquid for the rinse agent and proceeded to squeeze a good quantity into the rinse agent dispenser of my machine. The next couple of cycles got a little sudsy, but it seemed to be under control for a couple of months, until this afternoon. My girlfriend noticed that there was still some blue soap buildup in the rinse agent dispenser and decided to rinse it out with hot water before running the cycle. The result was a beautiful sudsy mess which lasted for a couple of hours, until we got fed up of cleaning up the ever-oozing foam. Besides running the cycle through with cold water to rinse out the machine, can anybody suggest a more effective remedy for the situation? I've read on the net that salt can be sprinkled to control the suds and vinegar through the cycle would help. Anybody else? PLEEEASE???

thanks,
Simon
