The boiler should shut down but leave the pump running until reset.
I had one a couple of weeks ago that was showing F3 but it would lock out and turn of the pump as well.
This then caused it to o/h so when it was reset it would show a F1 fault .
A new PCB sorted it.
You haven't given us any way to send you the manual.

I'm getting fluctuating hot/cold water when the hot tap's are run, the boiler don't shut down but momentelrilly indicates F3 and continues to supply hot water. If the flow (not presure) is reduced dramaticly,the hot water is constant which suggests heat exchanger problems. Heating is fine. I installed a couple of additional/replacement rads recently so could have caused sludge to have accumalated in the HE.
It seems theres no way of obtaining a manual on here because of the "rules", can anyone suggest any www where I might purchase one and thanks guys for your help.
