Hi, my Euroflame oil boiler is firing up, and working. But, it is making a strange noise, and I can smell oil fumes through the wall. Today, I took out the control box which had sooted up quickly after putting a new burner nozzle in it two days ago. The noise seems to start up, like a very loud hum, then seconds later it sounds like it is conking out. It repeats this constantly. Can anyone help please. Ive been on phone all day today and cant get an engineer until Monday. Ive got a baby in the house and any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Did it make the noise with the old nozzle in?

In general. you need a backup. So does everyone, you're not te only one.

To everyone who has only one form of heating (except for wood burners) get backup heating of some sort.

Give the kid a woolly and don't mention the boiler. It won't give a damn!
