find a ngr stain(non grain raising)i think medium pine is the closest u will get to oak test a peice first(lrt it dry) then coat up with a water based varish its easier to clean rub down before recoating and coat again.....its easier to do before installing hope this helps |

If u r going to paint them try not to put to much on in 1 go less paint more coats less runs |
