I have received a couple of quotes from roofers to replace the flat roof on the bay area of my living room. Felt, zinc and rubber have all been proposed as potential materials. However, where one roofer recommends zinc for durability reasons and warns against rubber as an unnecessary expense, the other cannot speak highly enough of rubber. Both rule out felt as an inferior material. I'm not sure what to believe. |

yes felt is the poorer little brother but, it will still give value for money.
don't be drawn in by lofty claims of 50yrs + guarantee either.
felt may not last as long, but 10- 15 years for a third of the price of say something lasting only 3 years longer......... it's your choice. |
