Plug socket in loft?

I want to install a plug socket in the loft. Can I run off the lighting circuit that is already there?

No you can not go from the lights the power point needs to be in the ring main same as the rest of the power points

Lighting circuits are rated at 6 amps and you want to draw up to 13 amps QED

Depends what it's for. If you just want it for an aerial booster, you could fit a 2A socket.
