Ocean Alpha 240p pilot light

Can anyone help? My pilot light has gone out and it will not relight when I follow the instructions on the boiler. What do I need to do? It's too cold and I need a bath!

Any help gratefully received.

When you hold in the pilot does the fan run? Sparking, does the pilot establish?

No nothing happens at all, there's a faint clicking sound but apart from that nothing.

I suggest you lower the front panel (screws either side) and press in the central gas knob.

Often the knob on the front panel does not fully push in the gas valve (and operate the microswitches) due to poor design.

isnt this the one where you need to hold it in for about 2 mins before anything happens

Thanks for your replies. It looks like the bloody thing is packing up for good so I have had to call out for someone to service it.
