Zanussi Aquapulse Dishwasher DE6854

There is an intermittent fault with my dishwasher. It works OK most days but once in every 10 runs or so, it does not clean the load. I have a feeling that it may be the heater. Has anyone had similar problems, and have you found out what it is?
Also, is there a "workshop manual" for dishwashers, like Haynes do for washing machines.
