door height

can anyone tell me if there is any min height regulations for doors in a public building

With new buildings it was 2.15m minimum when I was involved in this sort of stuff up to 4 years ago & had been for the 25 odd years I worked in this field; I don’t suspect it’s changed for the worse but I don’t know how far this applies to older buildings; what’s your reason for asking, have you bashed your head?
 
bashed my head no but I may do what it is the club I use has had to up date the toilets for wheel chair users the ceiling have being lowered and new doors have being fitted i'm 6' 5' tall and I have to duck now

I’m not sure if a club where you have to pay a membership fee would be classed as a public place. If it is, I’m pretty sure they should not have reduced the headroom below the minimum; they at least have a duty of care to avoid you injuring yourself & there should be prominently displayed warning notice. Try ringing your local Council Building Control who almost certainly should have agreed the disabled modifications; if not try the Health & Safety Executive.
