have an ideal classic lxff boiler and everything was fine untill yestersday and this morning no hw or ch boiler does fir up when we turn the heating or hot water on and pump runs and when you just ask for hw the valve does move a neighbour said he had same prob last year and they replaced the 3 port valve.. any suggestions please.??

A three port valve will always give either CH or HW flows even if its broken.
You say the boiler fires up and the pump is running. If that really were the case you would either have CH or HW. The heat has to go somewhere!

thanks for the replies, sorry if it was unclear and after having a second look it does seem more a fault on the boiler than any thing else, yes the boiler fires up but not to full power if you see what i mean..??
