Installing an outdoor light with PIR. Existing 2way circuit to 3g 2w switch at bottom of stairs using 3c&e as follows( 2way from upstairs landing light switch. Red L1/ Blu L2/ Yell-Com & earth. These come in to 3g switch at bottom of stairs ) From pendant at bottom of stairs to same switch 2nd gang ( Bla L2/ Red-Com/earth )Have pulled cables through wall from Pir Live/Brown Neutral/Blue into fused spur and then in to 3gang 2way switch. Where do i need to put Live and Neutral on 3rd gang of 3gang 2way switch (no funny comments please!!!) Hope eomeone can help. |

It doesn't sound like you have a neutral at the switch so it won't work. What wattage lamp is it? |

The PIR is 60watt max. The landing and Hallway lamps are both 60watt also! |

If you look in the ceiling rose of the hall light, how many cables are there in it? Is it possible to replace the switch wire from here to the switch with a 3c+e cable, or run an additional twin and earth from the hall light to the switch? |
