I have just replaced a radiator in my central heating system, refilled ok but the pressure on the boiler keeps rising from 1.0bar to 3.0bar+ over a period of about 4 hours. Any help[ would be appreciated. Also, the bleed screw on one of the old radiators has started leaking, can i just replace the bleed screw or do i need a new radiator?
many thanks,
james

Make sure that the system is filled to 1.5 bar when completely cold. Check that both taps on the filling loop are completely closed and remove the braided hose between them to confirm this. The bleed screw is replaceable, buy one from a plumbers merchants. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the advice, replaced bleed screw, ok. I let the boiler vent at 3.0bar and it seems to have sorted its'self out (no increase in pressure for 3 days now!) and it is running normally
